WoW! Well said, Man, well played Spartans!

It was truly an honor to be alumni, all be it, an adopted alumni yesterday. To stand in the beautiful shadow of the great warriors in downtown Detroit. To proudly sport my colors, and support the one school I’ve always, and will always, love. To have my two-year-old nephew verbally commit his future on his second birthday!

I, too got choked up in the final minutes of the game. I thought of how much this means to my husband, and the pride he was glowing with, and how this brave man held his breath and couldn’t watch as Lucas threw his final free-throws. I thought of our grandfather, who proudly supported the University till the day he died. I thought of my 5 nephews, and the opportunities that await them through this proud tradition.

I was born a 6 generation native of the heartland, Michigan.

I’m not sure how long the Spartan bloodline has traced it path into my heart.
