Get Well Soon…

So…I’m sick.  I’m talking physically, not mentally  

Lil’ Baird brought a cold home about two weeks ago.  Better Half and Lil’ got better over the first weekend.  I on the other hand had this cold turn into an infection and have been coughing and hacking like a 80 year old man.

After the first seven days I finally caved and went in to the Minute Clinic at the CVS around the corner from my house.  The nurse practitioner made the diagnosis, I got my script and home I went.

So about 5 days go by and I get a card in the mail from the Minute Clinic.  This is the message that was inside (nurse’s name blacked out to protect the innocent):

If you can’t make that out, allow me to read it to you…

Dear Michael,

Hope your facial pressure, nasal congestion and sinus draining are improving.

It was nice to meet you. Wishing you good health and great joy.

That is one remarkably specific card! I am REALLY glad I wasn’t exhibiting any other symptoms….

Hope you have passed that ringworm.

Hope that you are no longer experiencing a burning sensation when you urinate.

Hope your anal leakage has subsided.

I guess it is the thought that counts, right?  My regular doctor never sends me anything but a bill.  It was handwritten…and there’s a smiley face
