My LIVE BLOG experiment for the “Top Chef: Las Vegas” finale after the jump.
9:57:30 PM: So here we go. First time this season I’ve actually watched TC in real time. Go Kevin!
9:59:26 PM: Looks like everything is working – YEAH Technology! FYI – my spelling is probably going to be “not so hot”. Just a warning.
10:00:06 PM: Watching Jen pack her knives again…UGH.
10:03:58 PM: I don’t know what it is, but seriously these last three eps Bryan has REALLY grown on me. He could win, just not Michael…PLEASE
10:04:23 PM: Identical Ingredients – NICE!!!
10:04:43 PM: MUST make dessert…this is going to be a good finale!
10:05:28 PM: Here come the loser…out of the vineyard – kinda field of dreams like
10:06:07 PM: draw knives for sous…hmmm…AND BRYAN GETS JEN!
10:06:24 PM: Damn – Kevin is in trouble…
10:09:17 PM: hmmm…no famous chefs in the kitchen to help with this finale??
10:13:29 PM: …and we are back, man commercials suck! DVR has ruined me.
10:14:34 PM: WOW, Mom V looks JUST like Mike
10:16:04 PM: “Be the real you. The REAL Kevin” – true words Mom!
10:17:13 PM: Adding a course…inspired by favorite childhood dish…NICE!!!
10:20:05 PM: Watching these guys work is just fascinating!! These three are soo strong!
10:22:13 PM: Kevin – PORK IS MY JAM!! The belly will make an appearance tonight! YEAH BACON!
10:22:59 PM: BACON DESSERT! Oh Kevin…I can’t dig you any more…man crush, not gonna lie!
10:24:08 PM: Asking Mom V which dish she liked better…oh Padma…
10:24:18 PM: and more commercials!
10:27:05 PM: we start dinner with a warning to the mom’s about some of the comments that could come out…nice.
10:28:01 PM: Arpaia will show up to any TV show as long as eating in involved! Surprised Food Network let her appear…
10:30:00 PM: sooo, it looks like K gets course one, then Mike, then Bryan
10:30:27 PM: Mom V’s revelation – Mike hated everything! Now we understand…lol
10:31:31 PM: wow – all the second courses look great!
10:32:51 PM: Second course goes to Mike, then Kevin and Bryan…from what the producers are showing…
10:34:21 PM: Third course – Bryan, Mike then Kevin…
10:34:48 PM: I want to eat Kevin’s dessert NOW!!!
10:36:40 PM: Dessert – Bryan and Kevin / Mike tie…oh man!! Producers know how to draw out tension…this is going to work my nerves like last week.
10:46:29 PM: Okay – So my course 1 – 3 thoughts look to be spot on…hmmm
10:47:17 PM: kiss of death – “Almost a great dessert”. That is an ouch!
10:47:57 PM: Most honest thing Mike has said all season…”I just don’t want Bryan to be Top Chef”
10:50:40 PM: Yup – Kevin 1, Mike 2 and Bryan Course 3…TIGHT!!!
10:51:21 PM: can a bacon dessert help Kevin win???
10:51:59 PM: Could Bryan be Top Chef??? Dessert just might carry him over the top.
10:53:25 PM: Kevin – mushroom problem. Mike – cake problem. Bryan pretty much cooked everything ok, that consistency just might pay $150,000!
10:55:04 PM: New Beggin’ Strips commercial in this commercial block, made me laugh. I think Kevin feels like the dog in that commercial about bacon! 
10:55:57 PM: there’s that music – here we go…
10:57:14 PM: There goes Kevin! Damn! Been a good ride and I will seek out his restaurant!!
10:58:18 PM: WOW – Michael wins!
10:58:40 PM: AURGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
11:00:05 PM: and in the last two minutes of the entire season, Mike actually shows he is human.
11:01:21 PM: There you go! Like every season, it just sort of ends anti-climatically. Mike was consistent, had the most wins (I think) so deserves it.
