Bacon Bourbon Caramel Corn…
Yes, that is right. Let me say it again but in caps for the proper emphasis…
BACON BOURBON CARAMEL CORN!
and now in caps and bold and italics…with extra exclamation points…
BACON BOURBON CARAMEL CORN!!!!

How did someone not come up with this sooner???
From their site:
The year was 2007. The day was Superbowl Sunday. There would be a party. The menu had been decided and then the challenge came… to create a bacon caramel corn. And so came the birth of Bacon Bourbon Caramel Corn. Over the following years, much to the delight of my friends, the recipe was tested, tasted, inversed and reversed until perfection was achieved. It is now my great pleasure to share Bacon Bourbon Caramel Corn with you and yours.
They offer only one thing – Bacon Bourbon Caramel Corn – in two sizes, 8 oz. or the 2 lb. “Pig Out”. It’s a little pricy but I ask you “what price for perfection”?
I am getting some! You should too…

2010 – Year of Bacon?!?

So J. Walter Thompson, agency of record for Nestle, Kraft and Kellogg, just listed their top 5 food trends for 2010 and guess what tasty meat made the list…
Bacon is no longer just for BLT sandwiches: The pork product is showing up in cocktails made with bacon-infused liquor or the new Bakon Vodka. It’s also in desserts such as bacon-and-egg ice cream and chocolate bars.
Welcome to the party. As with my post last week about bacon appearing in promotional / ad work for other companies…when agencies get around to “recognizing” the fad, you may already be on the down side of popularity. Sorry bacon, you’ve become (GASP) mainstream.
But don’t worry baby…I will ALWAYS love you
The rest of the list: organic fast food, wine cocktails, health-claim backlash and sardines. Yes, they called sardines the tuna of 2010 (good luck with that).
