BTV – John Hamm on SNL…
From last night’s Saturday Night Live…
“If you enjoy cozy atmosphere, excellent service and healthy servings of pig meat accompanied by sparkling wines…”
It was a good sketch, but not quite as good as his previous effort…
“Mmmm, that’s good ham!”
All and all not a bad episode last night, a few good spots and a solid “Weekend Update“…but John Hamm is quickly becoming a solid go-to guy for SNL.

Saturday Morning Video Funhouse – The Cheesiest…
Thanks to Topless Robot for this clip…
Presenting the 100 cheesiest movie lines of all time. While all lists can be debated ad nauseum, I sure you will agree after viewing that regardless of ranking, these are quite cheesy!
Oh and notice how many Star Wars prequel lines are in here. I love Star Wars, that much is true, but George really can write some stinkers!
ALERT: There are some dirty words in here so consider yourself warned.
Have a great weekend everyone.

I know that we have featured “candied” bacon before in out “Better with Bacon” segments but this is different for three reasons:

Bringin’ Up a Bacon Baby…All About the Smarts
Could bacon be brain food for your baby?? A new study suggests as much…
This article pulled from the UK’s “Daily Mail”
…Scientists have found that eating a plate of bacon and eggs could help pregnant women boost the intelligence of their unborn child.
Women are usually given a list of foods to avoid during pregnancy and it is well documented that a pregnant woman’s diet can affect her unborn baby.
Scientists have found that eating a plate of bacon and eggs could help pregnant women boost the intelligence of their unborn child
But the new study suggests that a chemical in pork products and eggs can help the baby’s growing brain to develop.
Scientists at the University of North Carolina have discovered that the micronutrient, called choline, is vital in helping babies in the womb develop parts of their brains linked to memory and recall.
In a study of the effects of choline on the brains of baby mice, those fed small doses of choline while in the womb had genetic differences to those given large amounts.
Dr Gerald Weissmann, editor-in-chief of the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology journal, which published the research told The Telegraph: ‘We may never be able to call bacon a health food with a straight face, but [similar studies] are already making us rethink what we consider healthy and unhealthy.’
Other foods that contain a high level of the nutrient include liver, milk, chicken and nuts.
Previous studies have suggested that large doses of choline could help protect against heart problems.
Better Half and I are constantly saying (more like jokin’ around) that Lil’ Baird is “advanced”. Guess it was all those big bacon breakfasts at the Baird compound when she was preggers.

Bringin’ Up a Bacon Baby…Teachum’ Young
So this weekend Lil’ Baird was playin’ around with her Fisher Price Little People House that she got from GG (my mom) this Christmas. I started picking up the pieces that went with the house and noticed something very interesting…look closely…
There is BACON on one of the plates!!!
KA-POW!
Fisher Price subliminally promoting the most delicious of pork products. Nice move.
While she has yet, at 16 months, to taste bacon…she’s definitely being “primed”

Coolest Key Chain Ever?
Seriously, if a cooler keychain exists I don’t know about it!
Now that’s a burger…bacon, cheese, avacado, tomato, blah, blah, blah, yum, yum, yum…
This little wonder is from the Japanese company Re-Ment. It’s one of a series of 12 sculpted food keychains.
Their $1.99 and available at the Japanese supermarket chain Mitsuwa (which is no where close to us here in Detroit). Thing is each package is a blind draw, so you have no idea if you’ll get a bowl of ramen or what I am officially calling the coolest keychain ever.
