This Monday was the launch of Kentucky Fried Chicken’s newest creation, the KFC Double Down sandwich.  This is KFC’s first bacon related menu item so you know I had to try it.  It’s all for “science” right?

Much has been said about the sandwich across the interwebs this week and this won’t be a review specifically about the Double Down.  We run a bacon blog here so that is where we will focus our attention.

Just catching up on my DVR and ran into this from Monday night’s “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson“.  Fast forward to the 2:40 mark and then enjoy close to seven minutes of bacon jokes!  Some of which, I dare say, will make you laugh (or at least giggle a bit).

Yes, that is an AT-AT from “The Empire Strikes Back” made of bacon.  This from the same folks who brought the BA-K-47 into our lives.

It’s body is made of foam, it’s over 3 feet tall and it took over 40 pounds of bacon to cover this beast.  Let me say that again…40 LBS. OF BACON!!!
