I have written about Zingerman’s in Ann Arbor a few times on this site. I was even given their “Guide to Better Bacon” book for Christmas.
We’ll they are back at it again with Camp Bacon 2011!
Love bacon? You’re not alone. NPR recently published a story calling bacon a “gateway to meat” for vegetarians. It seems that even avowed meat-avoiders can’t stay away from the beloved breakfast staple.
Zingerman’s has taken the love for bacon to new heights with its second annual Camp Bacon. Kicking off on June 30 with a special bacon dinner with James Beard award-winning chef Andrea Reusing at Zingerman’s Roadhouse, the events also include a benefit concert at the Ark with legendary soul man Andre “Bacon Fat” Williams on July 1 and a Bacon street fair in Kerrytown on July 3. You can find more information here.
Alas, once again I can’t go…but you could! Click the link in the article, make your reservations and then tell me all about it!
