Video game characters extoiling the virtues of their player, who just happens to share MY first name…just sayin’.  I’ve been a fan of their recent campaigns but this spot is really clever.

I’ve watched this about 20 times already.  Stark and Cap, Stark and Banner, Hawkeye snapping his bow, Fury…I so much want the Avengers to rock!!  (Ed. Note – Sick all week at home so I finally got to see Thor, thought it was really good.)

And finally…

I know this has been all over the interwebs already, but it just makes me smile. I remember when I first saw Empire and what a big moment the reveal was…I hope that when Lil’ and I finally watch these movies together that she has that same reaction.

So I found this shirt the other day on TheYetee.com…

It was their daily deal for just 10 bones.  I was totally going to get it but I was a day late to the party.  Luckily I clicked the link and it took me to RedBubble where the shirt was on sale there!  YEAH! (but the price was now $23.94, BOO!)

I hadn’t been on the RedBubble for a while so I thought I’d look around a bit…drop “bacon” in the search…

WINNER! For those with old eyes, it says “Bacon is what?!?”  It’s funny cause the pig is eating bacon and then finds out that bacon comes from pigs…get it…

..and I got mine!!!!!

When I arrived home last night, I noticed the welcome mat on my front porch was leaning up over something.  I just assumed that my bi-weekly comic book order had arrived as this was the normal way the UPS guys leaves my packages.  I was half right, my books were delivered but also to my surprise I noticed a much larger box sitting with them.  The box was from ThinkGeek.

Oh boy…it was finally here!

Just how much? We’ll that has been a source of debate since the weekend. That brings me to…

The Tauntaun! 

The Tauntaun, if you don’t know, is a fowl smelling (inside and out apparently) species of omnivorous reptomammals that are indigenous to the icy planet of Hoth. Tauntauns were commonly used as pack animals during the Rebel Alliance’s stay at Hoth. Tauntauns were also used as patrol mounts when it was learned that the Rebel Alliance’s own vehicles could not cope with the cold very well. (via wookieepedia)

Who better to help us gauge the “depth” of this storm than he?

Alone he sits, 16 inches in height, awaiting the promise of accumulation.

Welcome to the work week everybody.  Hope ya’ll had a great weekend.

We will get to bacon in just a little bit…first as I was rooting through the interwebs today, catchin’ up on all sort o’ news, this popped across my screen…

As if my Tauntaun sleeping bag wasn’t the coolest thing ever…then comes this!  A MILLENNIUM FALCON BED!!! KA-FREAKIN’-POW PEOPLE!!!  I am typing in caps not only to help convey my excitement but also because I AM SCREAMING IN MY HEAD!!! This thing is beyond cool (that would be nerd cool, not standard cool like most of you may be accustomed too).
