This is kind of a no-brainer, bacon, lettuce and tomato being such a beloved sandwich combo, especially when there’s a good smear of mayo. This guacamole is in the same vein, except that the tangy, creamy mayo is replaced by avocado and lime. Come to think of it, the avocado, along with a little cilantro, brings the lettuce-green to the picture as well. It’s a perfect Mexican-American fusion of smoky, bright, creamy, fresh and satisfying.

As a kid, I hated broccoli!  Still not a huge fan of it even through I know how good it is for me.  I will only eat it 1) raw or 2) VERY lightly sauteed.

You all know that I LOVE BACON…that much is true.

So take some of that tasty, tasty meat and mix with raw broccoli and you’ve got something that even a non-broc lover like me would down by the spoonful.

OH…..MY…..GAWD!!!!!

This could be the best recipe EVER.  I truly have to admire their ingenuity.  You wouldn’t think to add bacon to a pecan pie but now that you hear it, it just MAKES SENSE!!!

At the Pumplin Thanksgiving 08 Celebration, I found myself eating some homemade pecan pie and thinking there was something missing. I’ve always been a huge fan of pecan pie, but it sometimes borders on just too sweet for me. There is absolutely NOTHING healthy or “redeeming” about this particular recipe.  I mean it’s a recipe from Paula Dean…
