Yummy! – The BBQ Chicken & Bacon Pizza at Motor City Brewing Works
One of the real nice things about working in downtown Detroit are all the great little restaurants sprinkled around the city that I can now get out to on a frequent basis. Take for example this fine establishment…

I’ve had a few beers here before, but never stopped in for lunch. That is, until today…
Their menu is primarily artisan pizzas. For lunch today, it was the BBQ Chicken and Bacon pie along with a pint of Summer Ale.
Let me show you something…
That is thick cut bacon! These “bits” were at least an inch long and tasty, tasty, tasty!!
No skimping on the other meat either. Big clumps of pulled chicken were strategically positioned to ensure some in each bite!
My only suggestion would be to toss the chicken in some of the bbq sauce before dropping them on the pizza. Some of the pieces dried out a little in the oven. A little coat of sauce could help keep the meat moist and provide great flavor.
Oh, the beer was fantastic BTW.
If you’re headin’ into the D, give these guys a try!

Bacon Pic of the Day…Gulf of Bacon?

It’s a tragedy…it really is. BP should be raked over the coals…but you kinda have to admit, it does sorta look like bacon.
Don’t blame me for finding this one, blame Jim (SHOUT OUT), he’s the one who sent it to me this morning
