strawberries, blue cheese crumbles, walnuts, red onion and BACON in a balsamic vinaigrette.

Now that’s a spinach salad I can get behind (and in fact, I did just this afternoon).

We’ll gang, we are quickly approaching 3.5 years of writing about bacon (and occasionally other stuff) and I’m coming to the realization that if “The Daily Bacon” is going to remain topical that I’m going to finally need some help.

Do you like bacon? Do you have a sense of humor? Do you wish to share those things with 10′s of readers on the interwebs? Like doing uncompensated work for a non-commercial blog? About two weeks ago we had a food truck rally in the parking lot of my building. It was rainy and just plain miserable, but I was determined to get out there and sample.

One of the trucks, The Mac Shack, was doing a serious amount of business. Given the gloomy, cold day, it seemed their warm, gooey mac & cheese was going to hit the spot. So in the line I went to get my order of “The Bacon Made Me Do It“.

Friends let me tell you, this was gooooooood (that’s with 8 o’s)! And now, thanks to the magic of TV, you can experience what I had in the comfort of your own home…

You could also just follow The Mac Shack and make them make it for you

a bacon dreamcatcher!

The only thing I’ll be dreaming about tonight is tasty, tasty bacon!  So it’s already doing it’s job!

“Honey……when did we get this salad dressing?”

“I bought it for the potato salad I made last week.”

“Oh!?!”

nom…nom…nom…

Know what? It wasn’t bad.  Taste was subtle (I mean, it’s still a ranch dressing), but tasty.

Turned the bottle around and was happy to see…

Bacon baby.  Real meat in the ingredient list!  So it’s got that going for it.
