BLTfSC…How Does your Garden Grow?

BLTfSC?  What the h-e-double hockey sticks does that mean Baird?

It’s my official short hand for “The BLT from Scratch Challenge” and right now I am in full on grow mode!!  I have until Labor Day to develop all the ingredients for my BLT to enter Chef Michael Ruhlman’s contest.

So, here’s my progress so far…Here’s the complete garden I built for Better Half about a month ago…I have now taken over about 1/10th of it!

My tomato plant is showing some positive signs…

and joy of joys, here is my lettuce…popping up from seed, no starter plants here…

YEAH!!!

Get ready Ruhlman!!  I’m coming…now to get me some pork belly!
