Ohhhhhhh boy!  This one stings…

MONTVILLE — Skyler McNair caught a short screen pass late in the first quarter Friday night and quickly ran to the sideline, but the window of opportunity was closing.

There were Bacon Academy defenders to his left and center, and a Bobcat already had grabbed him by the leg. This was not looking very successful for the Montville senior.

Cutting back to his left, McNair kicked off the tackler at his feet and followed his blockers for 66 yards and a touchdown to put the Indians up 28 points.

It was that kind of night for the Montville football team — and that kind of night for Bacon Academy — as the Indians rolled to a 48-0 win.

That’s McNair right up there, just runnin’ away from Bacon…we’re talkin’ 439 yards of total offense for Montville.

In the last two games, Bacon has been outscored 101-7.  That is not good gentlemen! Let’s get our “D” on shall we???

So the Fightin’ Bacon Academy Fightin’ Bobcats fall to 2-3, 1-1 in conference.  They’ll take on Plainfield this week who also fell to 2-3, 1-1 this weekend with a loss to previously win less Windham. 

Fight, fight, rah team fight, victory for ba-a-con!
