Bacon Eating – A Contest Where Everyone Wins…

So evidently the “WORLD” Bacon Eating Championships happened this weekend in Soulard, St. Louis.

Unbeknown to me the “WORLD” record is 54 slices of bacon in 5 minutes.

While a record was not broken, a fine young lad by the name of Dave “Coondog Dawg” O’Karma took home this year’s crown with 40 slices consumed.  His prize, outside of the bacon he got to eat, was $100.  I’d say it was worth it.

To be honest, these guys sort of look like me at the sampling counter in Sam’s Club yesterday…
