Of Donuts and Beer…
A couple things popped over the interwebs today. The first was this:
It’s the Zombie Crawler – a green honey cake donut, glazed, and covered with “dirt’ (Oreo dust) then drizzled with chocolate “mud” and red vanilla “blood”. No bacon in it, but man I absolutely dig the ingenuity. Who among us, regardless of it’s horrendous looks, wouldn’t buy a Zombie donut?

The Canadian Morning Squeal Meal. If when hearing that you think maple and bacon, well you’d be right. It’s on a buttermilk donut along with some chocolate drizzle for good measure.
Now that’s all yummy and good you say, but I’m still going to need something to wash these down with.

From the Rogue Brewery in Portland comes Voodoo Doughnut (see zombies and fried dough) Bacon Maple Porter. Featuring apple-smoked bacon, vanilla beans, maple syrup & chocolate malts I’d say it would go just perfectly with those two fat bombs above.
